The SCN Sheffield Group
The Sheffield Spiritual Crisis to Emergence Group is a small peer-support group associated with the Spiritual Crisis Network (SCN). Spiritual crisis is also referred to as: spiritual emergence, spiritual emergency, kundalini, spiritual awakening, and spiritual psychosis. The group provides a safe and supportive environment for open discussion about the experience of spiritual crisis.
We welcome those who have gone through, or are currently undergoing, spiritual crisis. We also welcome carers and anyone with an interest in spiritual crisis. All group members are expected to adhere to the agreed guidelines, including confidentiality and mutual respect for others.
We meet once a month, usually at 1:30pm on the 3rd Saturday, to chat about our experiences and what helps. There is a small (usually £2) voluntary contribution to cover the room booking fee. For further information please visit https://scnsheffield.weebly.com or contact: SCNsheffield@gmail.com
Shades of Awakening
The mission of this Facebook group is to provide a rich forum for discussion on the topics of Spiritual Emergence(y) (SE) and spiritual crisis so that those seeking support may receive the community validation, normalization, friendship, insight, understanding, education, and healing they seek.
Psychospiritual Support
This is a psychospiritual support group on Facebook for people with mental and spiritual health problems to seek help, share stories and get volunteer peer support from one another taking into account a holistic approach to healing body, mind, soul, ego-identity and spirit/consciousness.
Emerging Kind
The Emerging Kind (tEK) Peer Support Groups are for people who view their mental health crisis as part of a spiritual transformation process, and would like to be part of a group where they are validated and supported to find meaning in their experience. tEK groups aim to provide safe spaces where experiencers feel empowered to speak openly without fear of judgement or pathologisation of their experience. tEK support groups are facilitated by a trained peer supporter; someone who has emerged through their own crisis and now feels inspired to help others who are going through a similar process.
