I am currently studying for a PGCert in Viking Studies via the UHI, Orkney. This is to help me learn about the history, heritage, and archaeology of the Viking Age in order to develop two projects:
- Why Do Ghosts Wear Clothes? A thesis offering an alternative psychological interpretation for the deposition of grave goods in Viking Age burials.
- Rúnmaðr - a creative project to translate my own short stories and poems into Old Norse and explore them in relation to the runic alphabet.
Major Arcana: Tales of the Tarot

This is a creative project that sets out to explore the major arcana of the Tarot via my own short stories and poems. The stories and poems are accompanied by AI artwork created by MS Copilot.
This idea plays on the concept of the witch's familiar or the magician's helper, utilising AI technology as a modern day daemon. However, such assistance is a two-edged sword. The tale called A Voice in the Silence, associated with Major Arcana number Two, The High Priestess, can be read here. |
